Note: If you are admitted to a Langara College program on the basis of an English language assessment other than the Langara English Test (LET) or an acceptable grade in English, you may be required to successfully complete ENGL 1107, 1110, or achieve an LET 3, prior to enrolling in ENGL 1100, 1123, 1129, or 1130.

If you have completed some post-secondary studies at another institution, you can possibly earn transfer credits toward your current program at Langara College. Please refer to Langara College's Transfer Credit web page. Students transferring between institutions in British Columbia, may refer to the BC Transfer Guide to check course transferability/equivalency.
Upon student's request, up to 60% of Langara College diploma, certificate, and associate degree program requirements may be transferred from another recognized post-secondary institution. These credits must normally be completed within the first 60% of your program.
To request transfer credit, you must submit a Transfer Credit Request Form (available from the Registrar's Office or on Langara's website), an official transcript from the transferring institution, and the appropriate fees.
The deadline for transfer credit to meet program prerequisites* is 10 weeks before the semester begins; the deadline for transfer credit to meet graduation requirements is January 3rd.

If you are at least 19 years old by the first day of your classes, you are considered a mature student. This status enables you to meet Langara's general college admission requirement. In addition, you must also meet the college's English Language Requirement and the specific admission requirements of your intended program.

Students currently in Grade 12 who are missing only one course for Grade 12 graduation may apply for conditional admission to Langara. To be considered for conditional admission, you must:
Secondary/Post-Secondary Concurrent Studies
BC Secondary students entering or currently in Grade 12 who have demonstrated academic excellence may apply for limited admission to university-transfer or open career courses while attending secondary school.
Enrolment is limited to three credits each semester. Admission is approved on a semester by semester basis until you have met Grade 12 graduation requirements or turn 19 years old.

Appeals for admission and re-admission are accepted at the Registrar's Office up to one week before the first day of classes.

Located in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada, Langara College started in 1965 as part of Vancouver City College and in 1970, it opened its West 49th Avenue campus. On April 1, 1994, Langara College was established as an independent public college under the Provincial College and Institute Act.
