3. For official transcripts of high school grades, an interim statement of grades is acceptable if you are still attending school. If you are enrolled in post-secondary studies, you are required to submit official transcripts of all post-secondary studies which you have enrolled.
4. Admission to the BSN program is through a selective admission process. Successful applicants are identified through the combined evaluation of GPA (based on program prerequisites) and a portfolio. If you have completed some post-secondary studies at another institution, you can possibly earn transfer credits toward your current program at Selkirk College. Please refer to Selkirk College's Transfer Credit web page. The BC Transfer Guide allows you to check on the transferability of your courses taken at another BC post-secondary institution.
Transfer credit is not done automatically. Students are responsible for initiating the transfer credit process. To receive transfer credit, you must submit an official transcript with your Application for Admission or Readmission along with a Transfer Credit Request form. A detailed course description/outline may also be required before credit can be evaluated.
You are strongly encouraged to apply for transfer-credit evaluation at the time of application to the program. It usually takes 4-6 weeks to process general transcript evaluations once all documentation is received. Complex assessments, that require consultation may take considerably longer.
