Admission Advice:

1. If you are studying under an IB curriculum or a non-Canadian curriculum, please see specific requirements here.

2. At UVIC, the value of courses is given in units. Most courses at UVic that run for one term count for 1.5 units per course.

3. For students who study at another post-secondary institution in BC, you can use BC Transfer Guide to find out course equivalency and transferability.

4. Assessment of your application: your grades will count for 60% of your application and your supplemental application will count for the remaining 40%.

5. Admission is competitive as enrollment is limited. Meeting the minimum GPA requirement does not guarantee admission to the Program.

6. All applicants to UVic (regardless of country of origin or citizenship status) are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission. You can choose one of several ways to demonstrate language proficiency.

You are not required to provide proof of language proficiency if you have studied full time for at least four years within Canada at the high school and/or post-secondary level, and all of your instruction has been in English.

7. For more details on admission requirements for all applicant categories, see the UVic admissions site. You can also contact Bachelor of Commerce Admissions Officer at UVic for help determine how to meet admission requirement or an acceptable equivalent.
