To work as a cardiopulmonary technologist in B.C., you may choose to be certified through the Canadian Association of Cardio-pulmonary Technologists. Eligibility is achieved by completing a Bachelor of Science degree, or by being a Registered Nurse, or holding a recognized Medical Technologies Registration, in addition to a minimum of 1800 hours in the field of pulmonary technology at a recognized institution.

This instructional program class comprises any scientific program that focuses on the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics of human movement, and applications to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation. These programs include courses in biomechanics, motor behaviour, motor development and coordination, motor neurophysiology, performance research, rehabilitative therapies, the development of diagnostic and rehabilitative methods and equipment, and related analytical methods and procedures in applied exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation.

Policy researchers, consultants and program officers in recreation, sports and fitness oversee and administer recreation, sports and fitness programs and activities, provide consulting services, conduct research and develop programs and policies related to recreation, sports and physical fitness. They are employed by federal, provincial and municipal governments, recreation, sports, fitness and health care facilities, retirement homes, community centres, sports and fitness consulting firms and organizations, or they may be self-employed.

Coaches prepare and train individual athletes or teams for competitive events. They are employed by national and provincial sports organizations, professional and amateur sports teams, sports clubs and universities or they may be self-employed. This unit group also includes sports scouts who identify and recruit athletes for professional sports teams. They are employed by professional sports organizations.

The Kinesiology Bachelor's Degree will expand your expertise in the hands-on applications of kinesiology. Courses include physiology, biomechanics, active health, human behavior, anatomy, exercise psychology, leadership and health policy. As you progress into the third and fourth years of the program, you'll gain knowledge of research techniques, data analysis, professional ethics and field studies before moving into more focused training in your chosen specialty. Before you graduate, you’ll take part in career and professional preparation courses, field studies and a capstone course.

The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology is about physiology, anatomy, fitness appraisal and rehabilitation. Your courses will help you understand human structure and function, and their relation to movement and health. You'll take courses in human physiology, functional anatomy, active health, a lab course, and more. The program opens up careers in fitness, health, athletics, physiotherapy, recreation, and more.

The Bachelor of Health and Exercise Sciences focuses on interdisciplinary nature of human health that includes psychological, physiological, neuromechanical and socio-cultural aspects of movement. Within your second year, you will apply for a concentration. Through labs, practicums, and co-op placements you will be able to build on foundational skills.

Prepare for your kinesiologist certification with the Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences stream. The Bachelor's Degree of Kinesiology is to explore how we can optimize the human potential for health, performance, and overall wellness. Grads with a Bachelor of Kinesiology may work in a variety of roles as health professionals to help people improve their health and wellbeing.

In the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, you'll study physical activity from a scientific perspective and explore the link between wellness and exercise. This program will allow you to gain experience that will let you work in sport, recreation and rehabilitation.

The Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree provides students with the knowledge and experience to pursue careers in education, fitness/wellness management, movement science, outdoor leadership, rehabilitation sciences, coaching, athlete development, and sports administration.
