EducationPlannerBC improves access to post-secondary education in B.C. by engaging and informing students and their supporters throughout their planning, searching, and applying stages, with no associated cost

During the 2024/25 school year, EducationPlannerBC reached over 40,000 high school students, parents and supporters, teachers and counsellors through high school student presentations, high school career fairs, parent workshops, community outreach sessions, and events.

Together with our partners we continue to develop a path forward to support learning and growth within our province. Thank you for your important role in working together to make a difference in the lives of students across our province.

Our presentations for grades 10, 11 and 12 students feature a walk-through of EducationPlannerBC’s website and cover various topics, including post-secondary terminology, program and career planning, financial aid options, B.C.'s public post-secondary institutions, credentials, student services, and applications. 

Students are introduced to interactive tools such as My List and Find Your Path, and how to use EducationPlannerBC throughout their planning, searching, and applying stages. 

Presentations typically run for 60-75 minutes and can be tailored for single or multiple classes, either virtually or select in-person settings. Presentations have no associated cost.

We offer our high school presentations in French to students enrolled in Francophone and French Immersion programs. In addition to covering the post-secondary information shared in our English presentations, this explores opportunities in French at post-secondary in B.C., including an overview of students' options to continue studying in French after high school, bursaries & awards, and career resources.

Parents and supporters play an important role in assisting students’ decisions around post-secondary. 

EducationPlannerBC works with school districts to host Parents as Education and Career Coaches (PECC) virtual presentations, which share information on post-secondary education and career opportunities as well as tools to best support their students in planning for the future.

Every year, school districts, community groups, and organizations host career exploration events that inspire students and introduce them to a range of career options and the education programs available to support their journey. EducationPlannerBC participates in these events as an exhibitor and workshop presenter.
