This instructional program class comprises any program that generally prepares individuals to master musical instruments and performing art as solo and/or ensemble performers. These programs include courses in one or more specific instruments from various instrumental groupings.

Music Performance Bachelor's Degrees

Conductors, composers and arrangers conduct bands and orchestras, compose musical works and arrange instrumental and vocal compositions. They are employed by symphony and chamber orchestras, bands, choirs, sound recording companies, and orchestras for ballet and opera performances, or they may be self-employed.

Musicians and singers perform with orchestras, choirs, opera companies and popular bands in establishments such as concert halls, lounges and theatres and in film, television and recording studios. This unit group also includes music teachers who usually teach in conservatories, academies and private homes.

Music Diplomas

The Bachelor of Music, Performance blends general arts knowledge with music performance. Students will focus on music history, theory and performance. It is open to graduates or current students of the Vancouver Academy of Music and The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. 

Music Performance: Bachelor's Degree

The Bachelor of Music Degree in Advanced Performance is about music theory and technology, musicianship, and more alongside four years of private instruction in piano, opera, a standard orchestral instrument, voice, guitar, harpsichord, or organ. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared for a career performing or working in the music industry.
