Overview
Thompson Rivers University (TRU) offers programs for every need, from upgrading to trades to undergraduate degrees to masters programs -- on a campus that features outstanding views and nearby hiking trails. Students can choose from 140 on-campus and 60 Open Learning programs to earn certificates, diplomas, undergraduate and graduate degrees.
TRU provides opportunities online and on-campus, like undergraduate research, co-op, study abroad and service learning. Popular programs include health, law and adventure tourism/tourism management, in addition to traditional academics in arts, sciences, business, education and social work.
Campus is diverse and inclusive campus, with a significant Indigenous population and international students from 90-plus countries. Class sizes are small, so students get extra attention and hands-on research opportunities. Student success/support is a top priority at TRU.
TRU turned 50 in 2020; it has grown into a thriving community where everyone finds their path.
