The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Justice Studies is about the Canadian justice field and gain a practical understanding of contemporary justice issues. You'll also study concepts related to global justice and Indigenous perspectives on justice. This program is meant for current and aspiring professionals in justice-related institutions or agencies such as law enforcement, victim services, or legal departments within government and business. Upon graduation, you'll be qualified to work in sectors like criminal justice, social justice, advocacy and human rights, conflict management, alternative dispute resolution and community development.

1. Completion of a two-year diploma or 60 credits from a recognized post-secondary institution, including at least 24 credits at the second-year level (B average)
2. If English is not your primary language, you are required to meet Royal Roads University's English Language Requirements.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. If you don't meet the formal academic requirements for admission of third-year entry, your application may be considered based on a combination of your education, informal learning and the real world experience as per RRU's flexible admission policy. To be considered for flexible admission, you would need the following:
    - Minimum five years of relevant work experience in an area related to justice
    - A combination of academic achievement and relevant work experience
    - Ability to demonstrate the competencies expected of a graduate with a relevant two-year diploma

For you application, you would need to submit the following:

    - Personal statement (no less than one page)
    - Letter of reference
    - Structured resume

Admission Advice

Applications are accepted and reviewed year round. Space may be limited, so applicants are advised to apply at least 6 months before the program start date.  Application deadline is approximately three months before the program start date. Once your full application is received, you will find out if you have been accepted in 4-8 weeks.
