Foundations for Success (FNFS) courses are meant to complement existing academic courses and programs at VIU. These courses are supplements to Adult Basic Education and University offerings by presenting six transitional elective courses designed to give you the foundation for your academic career.

Config for institutions using the EPBC REST API

1. Minimum 17 years of age
2. Must meet applicable Foundations course prerequisites. Prerequisites include:

- English 12 (C) or equivalent
- Pre-Calculus 12 (C+) or equivalent


Academic Admission Requirement

1. This program is intended for mature students returning to education or students in transition from high school into post-secondary studies who wish to improve their academic skills
2. Limitation of academic credit should be discussed with an advisor as part of the consultation process on admission. Credit that can be used towards degree completion at VIU is limited to 6 credits.
