Overview

The Residential Air to Air Heat Pump Specialist micro-credential will help you develop applied knowledge and skills — while learning from a team of industry instructors, and completing practical design and installation learning activities. This microcredential specifically incorporates emerging best practices and design considerations to ensure quality heat pump system installations that meet homeowner expectations, and provide heating and cooling during extreme weather events.

The Thermal Environmental Comfort Association (TECA), Home Performance Stakeholder Council (HPSC), and BCIT have partnered to ensure industry-relevant and current curriculum, informed by changing regulations, climate conditions, and lessons learned from the field. This microcredential will accelerate knowledge dissemination and support the industry shift towards high efficiency heating and cooling systems in residential buildings.
