Overview
Serving a region of 80,000 square kilometers, North Island College (NIC) is located on the traditional and unceded territories of the combined 35 First Nations of the Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka’wakw and Coast Salish, on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
NIC is a comprehensive community college with four campuses: Comox Valley, Campbell River, Port Alberni, and Mixalakwila, as well as a centre in Ucluelet. With over 1,000 courses and 120 credit programs, education offerings include: certificates, diplomas, degrees, post degree diplomas, trades training, and continuing education programs. Programs include: Business, Health Care, Tourism & Hospitality, Fine Arts & Design, Interactive Media, Trades & Technology, and University Partnerships/Transfers.
Students can expect class sizes of no more than 35 students, the latest in technology, and on-site library, bookstore and cafeteria facilities at the main campuses.
