The Digital Arts Diploma offers a solid foundation in traditional and graphic arts, web site development, video and sound production, animation and digital media. You will gain the skills required for advanced production techniques, effective project management and the new media business environment.

1. One of:
    - High school graduation or equivalent
    - Minimum 19 years of age
      Note: If you are under the age of 19 and/or do not have a BC senior secondary school diploma or     
      equivalent, you must be enrolled in a secondary school transitions program, be enrolled in a program 
      under an agreement with the local school district, or have written consent from a parent or guardian and 
      letters of support from people who are familiar with your circumstances, such as a school principal or 
      health care provider.

2. English 12 (60%) or equivalent 


Academic Admission Requirement

1. Completion of program questionnaire
2. Portfolio of between 10 and 15 pieces (that represent skill and talent, with an emphasis on diversity)
3. Interview with the department may be required


Additional Academic Admission Requirement


1.  You must submit an online application to Selkirk College before submitting the applicant questionnaire. The applicant questionnaire must be submitted at least one week prior to your scheduled interview date.

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted up to 12 months before the program start date, in September. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Early application is recommended.

International students are advised to apply well in advance to allow for appropriate time for Study Permit processing.
