Overview
The Comics and Graphic Novels Certificate addresses the specific needs of creators to understand, learn, and demonstrate their skills as visual storytellers. The skill-set with which you'll graduate includes the ability to conceptualize, illustrate, format, publish, and promote your work, in both analogue and digital formats. Before graduating, you'll acquire experiential skills-based training, which results in publication of a multi-page full-colour comic that you'll present and display to the public at a Comic Arts Festival. Upon graduation, you may choose to become a freelance creator for mainstream publishers, to self-publish both in print and online, or to work in-house or on contract in the film, television, and gaming industries. Graduates may also choose to continue their studies in other post-secondary credentials in other forms of visual art, including animation or film.
