The Engineering Bridge programs are for technology diploma grads who want to continue with third-year studies at the University of Victoria (UVic) or the University of British Columbia (UBC) to finish an engineering degree. The Engineering Bridge programs at Camosun are unique and recognized across Canada as a transition from a technology diploma  to an Engineering degree (UVic) or Applied Science degree (UBC). Once accepted into UBC you can participate in the Co-operative Education option. If you decide to participate in Co-op, some work terms from your technology diploma may be transferable between institutions. There is an optional internship work term available in the Bridge that is transferable.

1. *One of:
    - Mining Engineering Technology Diploma completed (B CGPA) within the last 5 years, and no individual course below a 'C' grade
    - Mining Engineering Technology Diploma completed (B CGPA) more than 5 years ago, no individual course below a 'C' grade, and a letter of intent outlining your work experience and/or professional development since diploma-completion

2. High school graduation or equivalent

*Note: Diploma programs must be accredited by the Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) to be eligible for admission 

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Official transcripts (final and/or in-progress) from all secondary or post-secondary institutions attended

Notes:
   - Regardless of relevance to Engineering studies, all post-secondary transcripts must be submitted
   - “In progress” transcripts may be accepted if students are currently enrolled in the final courses of their diploma program.  The courses must be completed prior to acceptance for admission
   - Diploma programs must be accredited by Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) to be eligible for admission. Other Canadian technology programs not accredited by TAC may be considered but will require the submission of detailed course descriptions (syllabi) for all courses.
   - Camosun College diploma graduates are not required to submit Camosun College transcripts.

Additional Academic Admission Requirement

1. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the program. Based on seats availability, a higher GPA may be used to determine admission eligibility. 

2. Admission selection process involves the following stages:

    - GPA is calculated using all courses taken toward completion of a student’s Technology diploma, including all course repeats
    - A joint meeting between UBC and Camosun College to rank the applicants based on the GPA achieved to determine which applicants will be offered admission to the bridge program.
