The Exterior Fire Fighter Operations Associate Certificate allows departments to demonstrate that their firefighters possess the firefighting skills they need, and exceed the British Columbia Fire Service Minimum Training Standards set by the BC Office of the Fire Commissioner. This program is for members of the fire service who want to gain the competencies for exterior firefighting.

It also provides credit toward NFPA 1001 Firefighter I for subjects completed and evaluated.
