The Career and College Preparation program provides improved basic literacy in English, math, or computer studies, upgrade opportunities to meet prerequisites, finish high school education and earn a diploma. you can prepare for employment, or upgrade to improve employment options, create a better future for yourself, or achieve a personal goal.

 1. One of:
    - Minimum 18 years of age
    - Minimum 17 years of age and out of school for at least one year
    - Minimum 17 years of age and with special arrangement with the local school district (for current high school students)

Note: There is no maximum age. 

Additional Academic Admission Requirement

1. Students who want to earn the equivalent of a high school diploma after turning 18 years old can complete the BC Adult Graduation Diploma (also known as Adult Dogwood) at NLC. Courses in NLC’s Career and College Preparation (CCP) program can help students achieve an Adult Graduation Diploma. Alternatively, individual CCP / Adult Basic Education courses can be take to met program-specific admission and/or course registration prerequisites. 

2. Fees and textbook funding may be available through the Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG). 

3. Flexible learning options may be available that fit with your work and childcare responsibilities.
