The Linguistics of Speech Science Certificate is for those who are seeking an introduction to theory and research in the study of speech science. You'll take courses in English grammar, phonetics, syntax, phonology, neurolinguistics, and more.

1. This Certificate Program is intended for students who wish to complete it at the same time as they pursue another program at SFU. You may add a certificate program to any major. 

2. Prospective students must apply to SFU for admissions and meet the specific program admission requirements prior to undertaking a Certificate program.

Admission Advice

- September intake: High school applicants: October to January
- Post-secondary/transfer applicants: October to February
- January intake: August to September
- May intake: October to January
