Overview
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry teaches you to apply the fundamental principles of chemistry to solve real-world problems. You'll explore inorganic, organic, physical, and analytical chemistry, sharpen your critical-thinking skills, and learn to communicate your findings to others. You'll work with professors, get hands-on experience in a lab, and can find opportunities to conduct original research. When you graduate, you may seek solutions for environmental problems such as acid rain or depletion of the ozone layer; develop new drug; or you may work to design new consumer products. Studying chemistry prepares you to enter graduate studies, high tech industries, government laboratories, or the classroom as a secondary school chemistry teacher.
