The University Transfer Engineering Certificate allows you to complete first-year engineering at VCC and apply for admission into second-year degree programs at the University of British Columbia (UBC), University of Victoria (UVIC), University of Northern BC (UNBC), and Thompson Rivers University (TRU).

1. High school graduation or 16 years of age or equivalent
2. English 12 (C+) or equivalent
3. Math - one of:
- Pre-calculus 12 (B) or equivalent
- MATH 0983 (B) and MATH 0993 (B) or equivalent
- MATH 1020 (C) or equivalent
- VCC Math Pre-calculus Assessment test (72%)
4. Physics - one of:
- Physics 12 (C+) or equivalent
- PHYS 0983 (C+) and PHYS 0993 (C+) or equivalent
5. Chemistry - one of:
- Chemistry 12 (C+) or equivalent
- CHEM 0983 (C+) and CHEM 0993 (C+) or equivalent

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Specific post-secondary courses may be used to substitute for high school courses. 
2. This program is available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
3. Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous are strongly encourages to connect with VCC's Indigenous Education and Community Engagement team to learn more about VCC's Indigenous Enrolment policy and services.
4. If you are missing any prerequisites, VCC offers academic upgrading, English as a Second Language courses, and university transfer options. 
5. Recommended characteristics:
Demonstrate proficiency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Motivated and positive attitude towards learning.
Possess analytical and critical thinking skills.
Some word processing experience and basic computer skills required.

Applications should be submitted as early as possible. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
