The Associate of Arts Degree explores critical thinking and research skills through studies in one specific area or a variety of subjects. Students can complete an associate degree which offers transfer credit toward any B.C. university.

1. There are no formal requirements for program admission. However, courses have specific registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed under each NIC course description. Prerequisite(s) = course(s) which must be completed prior to course registration. For course registration and program completion purposes, you need to meet the prerequisites prior to register individual courses in the Program. 

2. The following courses are recommended to meet prerequisites:
    - English 10 (C) or equivalent
    - Math 10 (C) or equivalent

3. NIC offers upgrading courses if you need help meeting prerequisites for registration into individual courses.

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted starting 11 months before the intended program start date. Early application is recommended. Applications are open on the first business day in October. Students are accepted on a first applied, first qualified basis. Early application is encouraged.
